Experian, our partner credit bureau, have changed the way they work out your credit score. It's now based on comprehensive credit reporting and models, which work out how likely you are to pay back a loan or a credit card.
This new score gives you a clearer idea of how lenders decide whether to lend you money. Both Experian and lenders use your most up-to-date information, so this new credit score gives you a better idea of how lenders view you.
We're expecting 40% of our users to see no immediate change to their credit score. A third will see a small change and around 12% will see a change of more than 100 points.
The insights we show you tell you what could be affecting your credit score. These are personalised to you and give you easy-to-action steps to help you improve your score. Find them in the 'Reports' tab under 'Insights'.
If something on your credit report isn't right, you can fix it by contacting Experian. To do this please use our contact form and someone from their team will get back to you.
