Credit providers share information they have for you with credit bureaus. When something is showing incorrectly, only credit providers will be able to update it.
Check that your providers have your details all correct and that it's being shared with Experian or illion, our partner credit bureaus. Once they’ve updated their records, it can take up to 6 weeks to show on your ClearScore report.
In the case the credit provider you’ve contacted doesn’t agree with your correction, they’ll need to provide you with reasons why.
If you’re still not satisfied with the decision, you can appeal this via the External Dispute Resolution scheme (EDR) or the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
